Q: What are the costs for Sheriff's Office Services?

A: 

For some services, the Sheriff's Office charges costs appropriate to the resources necessary to provide the service. Other costs are regulated by State Statute. The Sheriff's Office pricelist is:

Records Division:

Copy of a Crime Report - $10 (up to 20 pages, $0.25 per page thereafter)

Copy of a CAD Incident Report - $5

Copy of an Archived Report - $15 (up to 20 pages, $0.25 per page thereafter)

Copy of a Traffic Citation - $5

Civil Division:

Fingerprinting Services - $10 (per card)

Concealed Weapons Permit - $65 ($50/cash + $15/Check or M.O. made payable to OSP)

Concealed Weapons Renewal - $50

Concealed Weapons Address Change/Lost Permit - $15

Execution of Order/Judgement - $70 + costs

FED Writ of Execution (with Eviction Trespass Notice) - $70 + $36 (1-2 people, 3 or more people $70 + $20 per person)

Notice of Process - $36 (1-2 people/same address, 3 or more people/same address $20 per person, 1-2 people/different address $36 per person)
This includes summons, subpoenas, citations, orders, small claims, notice of restitution; 1-2 people per case per address)

Writ of Garnishment - $25

Q: Where do I get my fingerprints taken?

A: 

If it is for criminal charges, go to the Jail located at 1901 NE "F" Street, Grants Pass, OR 97526. They can be contacted at 541-474-5140.

All other fingerprinting is done in our Civil Division, Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., no appointment necessary. We are located at 601 NW 5th Street, Grants Pass, OR 97526.

Q: Who do I contact to have papers served?

A: 

The Josephine County Sheriff’s Office Civil Division serves civil papers to individuals residing in Josephine County.  They can be contacted at 601 NW 5th Street, Grants Pass, 97526 (541) 474-5145.

Q: How do I get a copy of a police report?

A: 

The Josephine County Sheriff’s Records division is open from 8:00am to midnight seven days a week.  If you cannot come to the office, your report can be mailed to you by sending a self addressed stamped envelope along with the case number and a money order with the proper fee amount to:

Q: Can I make a police report over the phone or do I have to come to the office?

A: 

You can initiate the report by calling the Records Division at 541-474-5123, where a call will be entered and assigned to the next available deputy.

Q: How much is a copy of a police report?

A: 

The costs for various Sheriff's Office reports are detailed below, please be advised payment is accepted in Cash or Money Order only. No personal checks are accepted.

Q: How much do I have to pay if my vehicle is impounded?

A: The impound fee is $100.00, cash or money order.  We do not accept personal checks.

Q: Is there a sex offender web site?

A: Not currently.  Contact the the Community Justice office for additional information.

Q: How can I get a list of sex offenders in my area?

A: A list of offenders, both on and off supervision, can be obtained by calling the Oregon State Police at 503-378-3725, Ext 4429.  You will need to leave your name, mailing address, and the city, zip code information you want.  Most requests are processed with 2-3 days; however, it can take up to one week depending om the circumstances.
