Thank you for your interest in joining us for the Granite Hill Cemetery Cleanup!
Date: Saturday, June 2, 2018
Time: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Volunteers can work at their own pace and choose to help how they would like. Suggested work includes clearing headstones of overgrown vegetation, gathering sticks and raking fallen debris into piles, picking up trash and weed eating. Parks will bring some tools and landscaping equipment to loan out for the day; volunteers are encouraged to bring their own tools as well.
Those donating their time at the cemetery should take care while working around headstones, as metal tools can easily scratch or damage older and fragile stone. The public should never attempt to clean or restore a headstone or any grave markers, as improper cleaning solutions, tools and methods can cause permanent and non-repairable damage.
Please take the time to pre-register each individual who plans to help out on the day of the event so that we know how many people will attend
