The Josephine County Sheriff’s Office Marine Patrol Unit will be conducting courtesy boating safety inspections on Saturday, April 16th from 8:00 a.m. to Noon.
Boat owners who pass inspection will receive a Marine Board “Law Enforcement Decal.” The decal lets law enforcement know that your boat has been checked for equipment and carriage requirements within the year.
Boat owners are asked to bring all the required paperwork and safety-related equipment in order to pass. For more information on requirements, view the 2011-12 Boater’s Handbook.
