Paint Recycling in Grants Pass

The following local businesses are accepting paint for recycling

Please call ahead to ensure storage availability. Empty paint cans or leaking paint cans cannot be accepted at these  locations.

 

 


ACCEPTED PRODUCTS – maximum-sized container 5 gallons

·        Exterior and Interior paints; latex, acrylic, water-based, alkyd, oil-based and enamel (all types of finishes and sheens, including textured coatings)

·        Deck coatings and floor paints (including elastomeric)

·        Lacquers, lacquer sanding sealers and lacquer stains

·        Melamine, metal and rust preventatives

·        Primers, under coatings and sealers

·        Stains and shellacs

·        Swimming pool paints (single component)

·        Varnishes and urethanes (single component)

·        Waterproofing, sealers and repellants: concrete, masonry and wood (no tar or bitumen-based)

·        Wood coatings (containing no pesticides)

Donated paint must be in the original containers, be at least half full and sealed as well as have a label; the paint must be liquid.

There is no fee charged when you recycle the paint, the fee is charged when you purchase the paint.

·        OEM and industrial surface coatings, paints and finishes

·        Paint thinners, mineral spirits, solvents, or additives

·        Pesticide-containing products

·        Roof patch or repair

·        Tar or bitumen-bases products                                         

 

NOT ACCEPTED regardless of container size:

·        Aerosol or automotive paints                            

·        Caulking compounds, epoxies,

glues or adhesives

·        Colorants and tints

·        Deck cleaners or marine paints

·        Industrial maintenance coatings

·        2-component coatings
