At the Josephine County Jail, we understand how important it is to keep in contact with loved ones. Although we do not have in person visits, we do offer visits by video either onsite or from anywhere using your own computer, phone or tablet.
In order to make appointments to visit friends and family in the jail, you will need to create an account at www.securustech.net. Once your account is created and approved, you will be able to visit either remotely for a fee or onsite using one of two video terminals at no cost. Free visits only apply to those scheduled and completed at the video terminal in the jail lobby. Before scheduling an appointment, you should verify the hours of availability for the person you are trying to visit.
Adults in custody are allowed two free onsite video visits each week, scheduled in increments of 15 or 30 minutes. The visits must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance and not more than one week in advance. Video visits from home or remotely can be scheduled anytime that the adult in custody is available.
Both onsite and remote visits can be made during the following times:
|Monday||8:00 am – 8:00 pm|
|Tuesday||8:00 am – 8:00 pm|
|Wednesday||8:00 am – 8:00 pm|
|Thursday||NO VISITS ALLOWED|
|Friday||8:00 am – 8:00 pm|
|Saturday||8:00 am – 8:00 pm|
|Sunday||8:00 am – 8:00 pm|
Participation in video-visitation is a privilege, not a right. Both visitor and adult in custody must conduct themselves in an appropriate fashion at all times during a video visit.
Josephine County Jail reserves the right to deny, cancel or terminate a video visit prior to or during a video session based upon visitor or adult in custody misconduct. Josephine County Jail also reserves the right to restrict vistor from participating in all future use of the system.
All family member/friend video visits are recorded and subject to electronic monitoring by Josephine County Jail personnel. Your use of the video visitation system constitutes consent to recording and monitoring.
Nudity, tight fitting or provocative clothing is prohibited.
Visitors displaying items that may be considered contraband such as drugs, drug paraphernalia, weapons, or displaying gang signs or symbols are subject to having the visit cancelled and barred from future visits.
Visitation may be denied or terminated if the visitor fails to supervise and or maintain control of any minors accompanying him/her into the lobby.
All personal belongings should be secured inside your vehicle. The Josephine County Jail will not be responsible for items left unattended in the lobby.
Any violation of the visiting rules by either the adult in custody or the visitor can result in the immediate termination of the visit and the loss of future visiting privileges.
