Josephine County Parks is pleased to offer a convenient camping experience. You now have the opportunity to stay in a Yurt while camping in Josephine County.

What is a Yurt?
A Yurt is a circular domed tent like structure with a wooden floor and vinyl material for sides and ceiling. Our yurts are 16 ft in diameter with a 10 foot high ceiling. Each yurt includes bunks beds which sleep one on top and two on the bottom, a fold out futon that sleeps two, table and chairs, electric heat and an electrical outlet. All of the Yurts are located in parks with full shower facilities, except for Almeda.

Yurts make camping handy as users only need to bring sleeping bags or bedding, cooking and eating supplies, clothes and a towel. For fall and spring camping, Yurts will stay dry and warm, and for summer camping the dome of the yurt can be raised to allow hot air to escape from the top. Ceiling fans have also been installed in the yurts to promote air flow.

NOTE: There is NO cooking, smoking or pets of any kind allowed in the Yurts.

Pricing
Yurts are available by reservation only.

  • $40 per night
  • $45 per night at Indian Mary from May 15 - Sept 15
  • $30 cash deposit required at check-in for all yurts
