Teen Gift Sack Program
Focus Teen Council at Teen Gift Sack Preparation

Create a strong community which focuses on the positive.

Lead our community by providing a teen voice to community leaders, families and our peers.

We focus on increasing the awareness of the Asset Model to create a positive, united, and successful community that supports all youth in positive ways.

The Josephine County Focus Teen Council is a youth leadership and advisory committee of the Josephine County Commission for Children and Families.  Representatives in the Council are youth, ages 13 to 18, and residents of Josephine County.  The purpose of Focus Teen Council is to:

  • Serve as youth leaders in the Community

  • Educate the Community about the dangers associated with risky behaviors

  • Encourage youth to participate

  • Promote a healthy and drug-free lifestyle

The Council is active throughout the school year building assets for and with youth through community service activities including:

  • CADCA National Youth Leadership Conferences

  • Red Ribbon Week

  • Take It Back Community Forum

  • Teen Awards Celebration

  • Pocket Directory

  • Jobapalooza

  • Family Fun Day at local schools
