Passenger Rules and Information

Passenger Assistance: Driver may leave the bus to provide minimal passenger assistance in boarding and exiting the bus.

ALL PASSENGERS MUST PAY A FARE OR PRESENT A RIDE TICKET UPON BOARDING THE BUS

Children five and under ride for FREE!

Riding the Bus is as easy as 1 – 2 – 3:

If you have questions, call JCT at 474-5452…. to receive more information. The dispatcher will identify the most convenient bus stop for you.

Have the correct fare or bus ticket. Drivers cannot make change for you. You can save even more by purchasing a monthly bus pass from the bus driver or the JCT Office.

Get to the bus stop early…to allow for minor variations in the bus schedule.

ADA Accessible Buses

All of our buses are ADA accessible with wheelchair lifts. Please note that each lift supports a maximum weight of 600 lbs, which includes the combined weight of the wheelchair and its occupant.

The wheelchair lifts are also helpful to people with walkers/canes or who have difficulty climbing stairs.

 

Bikes Allowed on Buses

Bikes are a first come, first served basis. Each bike rack can carry two, single seat bicycle on a first come, first serve basis. No tricycles, tandem bicycles or motor powered vehicles allowed.

Bus Etiquette

Please…
No smoking allowed. Extinguish cigarettes well before boarding the bus.
Practice good personal hygiene.
Firearms, weapons or flammable materials are prohibited.
No eating or drinking allowed. Finish food and beverage before boarding.
Front seats are reserved for the elderly or disabled.
Shoes and shirts must be worn; keep your feet on the floor.
No unnecessary conversation with the driver while the bus is moving.
Sit down quickly and remain seated while the bus is in motion.
If your actions or behavior create a hazard you may be subject to removal, citation or arrest.
All animals must ride in an approved pet carrier except service animals.
