The Josephine County Civil Division is responsible for carrying out the duties imposed and mandated upon the Sheriff as an officer of the court system, and as required by law. These duties include summons, instructions, criminal and civil subpoenas, complaints, petitions, small claims, court orders, evictions, restraining orders, and numerous types of Writs.
Along with the mandated duties, the civil division also handles Sheriff’s sales, foreclosures and processes concealed handgun licenses and non-criminal fingerprinting.
Concealed Handgun Application
(For New, Renewal, and Transfers)
Concealed Handgun License Hours:
MONDAYS ONLY: New and transferred concealed handgun licenses that are expired. All new applicants and transfers from another county with an expired license will be process by appointment only. Appointments will be scheduled every 20 minutes between the hours of 8:40 - 11:40 and 1:00 - 3:40. To make an appointment, please call 541-474-5123 option #2.
TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY & THURSDAY: Renewal applications, transfers from another county that are not expired, as well as address changes or replacement cards will be processed as walk-ins with no appointment needed between the hours of 9:00 - 11:50 and 1:00 - 3:50.

Paper Service Hours:
Monday through Friday 9:00am - 12:00pm and 1:00pm - 4:00pm
