Contact Tracing

Josephine County Public Health is looking for individuals to help with its contact-tracing efforts. There are two ways you can get involved.

Volunteer

Josephine County Public Health is seeking volunteers to serve in Contact Tracing and Data Entry positions.

Contact Tracers make initial calls to individuals who have been exposed to COVID-19, monitor contact by telephone or other electronic means daily to assess for development of symptoms and identify wraparound needs related to quarantine. Tracers do not provide medical advice or communicate with any entity outside of the Contact Tracing Program structure. Volunteers will need a private location in their home to conduct interviews, a personal computer and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word and Excel.

Data Entry volunteers transfer data to state communicable disease databases developed for tracking COVID-19 (OPERA and ARIAS systems). Volunteers do not provide medical advice or communicate with any entity outside of the Contact Tracing Program structure. Volunteers will need a private location in their home to conduct interviews, a personal computer and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word and Excel.

Those interested in volunteering with the Public Health Contact Tracing effort should fill out the Josephine County Volunteer Application and return it to Josephine County Human Resources, located inside the Josephine County Courthouse at 500 NW 6th St. in Grants Pass. Please write "Public Health — Contact Tracing" on the "Department Desired" line.

Paid Positions
