The Civil Division will continue to process civil service paperwork by email, mail or may be dropped off in the mailbox at the front door of the Josephine County Jail. Please include payment (in the form of cash or money order) and the Sheriff's Office informational sheet pertaining to service.
The Civil Division’s hours of operation are:
Monday through Friday 9:00 am to 4:00 pm (We are closed for lunch from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm)
The Josephine County Sheriff's Office Civil Division is responsible for carrying out the duties imposed and mandated upon the Sheriff as an officer of the court system, and as required by law. These duties include summons, instructions, criminal and civil subpoenas, complaints, petitions, small claims, court orders, evictions, restraining orders and numerous types of Writs.
Along with the mandated duties, the Civil Division also handles Sheriff’s sales, foreclosures and processes concealed handgun licenses and non-criminal fingerprinting.
